It looks as if I'm going to miss the next B-Movie. I'm not sure, it might be managable, although I'm supposed to be in Cardiff at 8am the day after. I'm a bit annoyed at that since B-Movie is good. I could do it, but then I'd get almost no sleep before the Sunday. On the other hand, I could sleep Saturday, and the last B-Movie was so good that I'm tempted to just go and travel really late.
I must get more music that I actually enjoy listening to in the car; I'm on a diet of Orbital, Sisters, Robert Miles and VNV Nation at the moment. I will be getting more bits for the car and hopfully replacing the breather box, some intake stuff, and a gasket fairly soon in the hope of getting the air pressure right inside the crank case. Right now it's still positive pressure. It's so reassuring that I have no idea what I'm doing, and no instructions, but I'm assured it isn't hard.
As I get home, I discover that our Java processes are crashing on a UML system. This is not a huge surprise, since the last time I used UML, sendmail was crashing. It is a pain though. I have challenged the team to reproduce the crash on any non-UML box before I investigate. I don't particularly look forward to debugging a SEGV in JVM internals.
Work tomorrow. It's been suggested that I don't bother commuting, but ... If I had network there, it would be much easier and I could do my research. There's a limit to how much I can produce without research. Perhaps I can "borrow" a terminal.
