I've decided to add tomorrow to my annual holiday "week", and might finish Text::CPP, which stands a chance of being my first ever useful CPAN module. It's a CXX/C99 preprocessor written in XS, and should handle a few hundred thousand lines a second. I have to add callbacks to Perl for things like opening files so that it can run over virtual filesystems, etc. I wonder if I can remove the filesystem semantics entirely so that you could do #include "".
